Costa is giving away millions of free hot drinks and singer and presenter Ronan Keating is helping hand them out. As reported by Birmingham Live, the Boyzone star has been employed by the coffee giant as its first "director of love".
Ronan's job will see him deliver impromptu serenades while touring Costa stores up and down the country. He teamed up with the drinks chain to help those struggling with the cost of living crisis by offering them a hot drink while they're out and about.
Ronan said: "I’m so excited to be joining Costa Coffee in a campaign with love at its heart. It was so fun to play the role of director of love and I’m excited to give the nation all the feels this festive season and maybe even help them reconnect over a Costa coffee.”
Costa says it's the first in a series of "declarations of love"' to its customers over the festive period. CEO Shakir Moin said: "Ronan Keating is responsible for some of the greatest love songs of all time, so who better to help us woo customers and shower them with love this festive season?
"We’ll not only be giving millions of barista-crafted coffees away, but we’ll be taking to the streets and even the skies to show Brits how we feel about them. Stay tuned for some big surprises.”
Brits can get their free coffee by downloading the Costa Coffee app and signing-up to the Costa Club loyalty scheme before November 24. Free drink vouchers will automatically appear in the app's rewards section and can be redeemed in person at participating Costa Coffee stores.
Last month, Costa unveiled its new Christmas menu - although the free drinks vouchers will not be eligible towards these. Festive drinks include a Toblerone hot chocolate, Toblerone latte, Terry's Chocolate Orange hot chocolate, gingerbread and cream latte and gingerbread latte coffee in a can.
