It could be a busy January transfer window for Todd Boehly and Chelsea. Having dispensed with Thomas Tuchel already this season, the new Blues owner will want to give his new head coach Graham Potter the tools he needs to succeed at Stamford Bridge.
Coming in mid-season, Potter has effectively inherited a squad that was set up for another boss. Potter will want to bring in new signings, to shape the squad in his image.
Things have not been easy for the former Brighton boss early on in his Chelsea tenure. The Blues sit eighth in the Premier League table having lost their last three league games on the bounce before the season went on hiatus for the World Cup in Qatar.

The January transfer window will open barely a week after the season resumes on Boxing Day, and Chelsea have been linked with plenty of new signings already. There have been rumours of a number of players likely to leave through the Stamford Bridge exit door too, however.
Boehly is likely to be a busy man, with his mobile phone glued to his ear. But who will he be planning talks with to secure January transfers for? football.london takes a look...
Cristiano Ronaldo
The big one. Will Chelsea go in for him? It seems unlikely, but the rumours just will not go away. After meeting Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes in the summer, Boehly may well be on the phone with the Portuguese star's representatives once again.
Christopher Nkunku
A deal to bring the France star to west London is all but finalised. Will it happen in January, or will the Blues wit until the summer, though?
Hakim Ziyech
The Moroccan enjoyed a stellar World Cup, but has struggled to fit in at Chelsea under Tuchel or Potter. He is likely to be having talks over his future next month.
Rafael Leao
Another who came to the fore even more during the World Cup with Portugal. Chelsea have been linked with a move for the frontman and could get ahead of the chasing pack by tying up a deal this winter.
Declan Rice
Chelsea will no doubt ask the question and will no doubt be told the same thing as before - pay what West Ham are asking and they can sign him.
Jude Bellingham
Another England midfielder Boehly will likely ask the question about, given uncertainty over N'Golo Kante and Jorginho's futures at the club. Liverpool look the most likely destination for Bellingham, however.
Josko Gvardiol
An absolute star at the World Cup. Just 20 years old, he would be an excellent signing and one Boehly is sure to push for this winter.
Piero Hincapie
Ecuadorian performed well at the World Cup and would be a cheaper alternative to Gvardiol. Do Chelsea necessarily want cheaper though?
Christian Pulisic
The poster boy for America, his time at Chelsea has not been without problems. Is likely to want to know where he stands at the club and if he does not get assurances from Potter will likely want to discuss a move away.
Denis Zakaria
The loan man does not appear to be in the head coach's thoughts. Will his loan be cut short? Might be best for both parties.
