Lily Gladstone recently presented director Ron Howard with the Profile in Excellence Award from Variety at the Cannes Film Festival. During the event, Gladstone expressed admiration for Howard's work, noting that her inner monologue often sounds like his voice. She humorously mentioned wanting Howard to narrate her life, especially during moments that feel reminiscent of his work on 'Arrested Development.'
Gladstone credited Howard's 1988 film 'Willow' for sparking her love for cinema and introducing her to her first hero, Madmartigan. She also highlighted a connection between the film and a character in the show 'Reservation Dogs,' showcasing the impact of Howard's work on her career.
