Romeo Beckham got off the mark for Brentford B, scoring his first goal for the club in a Middlesex Senior Challenge Cup game against Wealdstone.
The 20-year-old joined the Bees' second string in January, completing a loan switch from Inter Miami II in the MLS Next Pro. He made his debut for the club just days later, with manager Neil MacFarlane hailing the youngster's "unbelievable impact" during a victory over Erith & Belvedere.
This time, though, the impact from the son of former Manchester United and Real Madrid star David was even more noticeable. Not only did Beckham find the target against Wealdstone, but his last-gasp goal gave his team a dramatic 3-2 victory.
Brentford B opened up a 2-0 lead in their quarter-final before being pegged back by their opponents. Frank Onyeka, who has made a number of appearances in the Premier League this term, was among the scorers as he stepped up his comeback from injury.
The scores were level when Beckham entered the fray 15 minutes from full-time. With penalties looming, the son of the former England captain got on the end of a Conor McManus cross to restore Brentford B's lead, and there was no time for another Wealdstone reply.
Brentford B have joined Enfield Town and Hayes and Yeading United in the final four of the competition. Harrow Borough and North Greenford United will meet in the last of the quarter-finals on February 21.

"Fantastic," MacFarlane said when discussing Beckham's winner. "The subs have been making a real impact. Back at Huddersfield a month or so ago I didn't feel the subs made the impact that day, but ever since we had a discussion about that I feel any time somebody's come onto the pitch in the last half hour of games they've really given us that drive.
"If I take Portugal for instance, against Halmstad, all the subs that came on that night impacted and got us the deserved victory. Here tonight, as it was creeping towards penalty kicks at the end, we found a way to get the goal.
"Conor, who was fantastic down the left-hand side with a great cross and Romeo getting in between the the sticks, which we want all our attacking players to do. I'm really pleased for the group."
With the 2023 MLS Next Pro season not beginning until the spring, Beckham's six-month loan in west London means he won't miss too much of the upcoming campaign with his parent club. He will be playing his football under MLS legend Federico Higuain, with the Argentine former forward taking charge of Inter Miami II for a second season.

"If you look at Brentford as a club, it’s very positive and it’s a club that is on the rise very quickly. I’m very grateful to be here."
