Romeo Beckham made his debut at the 2026 Met Gala - and avoided an awkward run-in with his estranged brother Brooklyn, who did not attend.
Brooklyn - who distanced himself from his family in a scathing statement earlier this year - was notably absent from the prestigious fashion event for the second year in a row.
The budding chef and his wife Nicola Peltz had attended every year since 2021, although Brooklyn made a solo appearance in 2024 while Nicola was with her late grandmother, who was unwell at the time.
This year, it was Romeo’s chance to shine as he was invited to the Metropolitan Museum of Art by British heritage brand Burberry.
The 23-year-old model - who recently “liked” a telling post about Peltz - posed on red carpet alongside supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who is an ambassador for the brand.

The duo were also joined by Burberry’s chief creative officer Daniel Lee.
Romeo’s brother Cruz was quick to share his support, posting a photo of his sibling on his Instagram Story and writing: “There he is.”
Romeo later attended the star-studded Met Gala afterparty alongside his on-again girlfriend Kim Turnbull at People’s Bar in New York.
He was in New York over the weekend and went to one of the Met Gala’s pre-parties, which is one that Brooklyn has attended in previous years.
Brooklyn claimed in a social media post in January that he has no intention of reconciling and accusing his parents of having “controlled him for most of his life”.
He claimed relations became strained around the time of his 2022 wedding to Nicola.

Brooklyn accused Victoria of pulling out of making Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute and danced “inappropriately on him” at the wedding.
Last month, the former Spice Girl acknowledged the strain of the family fallout, telling the Wall Street Journal: “I think that we've always - we love our children so much.
“We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be.
“And you know, we've been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that's all I really want to say about it.”
While Cruz has reached out to Brooklyn several times on social media amid the rift, Romeo appears to have stayed quiet.

In fact, in February, he appeared to signal his stance on the family drama by liking an Instagram post claiming that Nicola is “the problem”.
The video Romeo appeared to endorse featured an influencer telling her 33,000 followers that Victoria and David were “trying to rescue their son”.
“I take it all back. Nicola is the problem. Victoria and David are trying to rescue their son, I think Nicola forced him to make that statement,” she said, according to The Sun.
“I saw an interview with Victoria, and she was like ‘I’m a girls’ girl, I love girls, that’s why I have the business I have, and you have to be a real a-hole for me not to like you.’
“And I was like ‘oh yeah Nicola’s an a*****e.'”
