Romelu Lukaku and lawyer make Chelsea future claims amid Bayern Munich and Inter transfer battle

When asked while on international duty this week, Romelu Lukaku has refused to speak openly about a potential return to Inter Milan this summer after a disappointing return to Chelsea this season.

The Belgian striker began promisingly on his £97.5million return to England, but after an explosive interview in December where he declared his wishes to return to Inter, things began to turn for the Belgian striker. The latest reports state that he is willing to take a wage cut in order to return to Italy, but in recent days new options have emerged.

There are now links for the Belgian striker to move to Bayern Munich this summer amid Robert Lewandowski's rumoured departure. However, given reports in Corriere dello Sport that Lukaku is pushing for a move back to Italy where he won the Scudetto, this could hinder Chelsea's reported preference for a move to Bayern Munich, where a permanent deal to replace Robert Lewandowski could be more likely.

However, the 29-year-old has refused to comment on any potential move while on international duty with Belgium. Responding to reports after it emerged that he would be willing to accept a 50% wage cut to join his former club he refused to comment, telling reporters that he "can't talk about the future".

This is something which has been echoed by Lukaku's lawyer, Sebastian Ledure who has also chosen to remain tight-lipped on any potential deal, saying: "What emerged in the press at the moment is only speculation. There is nothing to comment on at the moment."

However, it could be in all parties' favour for a potential exit to be completed this month, with the Italian legislation known as the 'Growth Decree' applying to all incoming transfers before June 30th, providing tax breaks to overseas stars in order to tempt big names back to Serie A.
