Pet owners grappling with the perennial dilemma of holiday care for their beloved dogs now have a novel solution at Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport. The airport has unveiled Dog Relais, one of Europe's first on-site canine hotels, designed to alleviate the stress and logistical challenges faced by "fur parents" before a trip.

This innovative service, mirroring an earlier initiative in Frankfurt, even includes staff who collect pets directly from the terminal, allowing travellers to proceed straight to their departure gate.
