Romance scam reports have jumped with a surge in Gen Z victims – Lloyds figures

A major bank has recorded a 24% jump in reports of romance scams over the past year.

Scams reported by Lloyds Banking Group customers between September 1 2025 and August 31 2026 were compared with those in the previous 12 months.
