Zoe met Jack, a graduate sports therapist and described the moment as a "blessing in disguise'" as they entertained each other with "crisps and chat"
And the pair now plan to watch Queen Elizabeth's funeral together on Monday.
Zoe admitted she will have have "mixed emotions" during the historic event and wanted to "share that moment with someone else".
Twitter users cheered on the fledgling romance with some suggesting their story could be a successor to director Richard Curtis' romcom Love Actually called "Queue Actually".
Channel 4's Minnie Stephenson, interviewed the pair and said on Twitter: "Call me queue-pid" before she added a heart-on-fire emoji.
Jack told Channel 4 News: "We met at 10:30pm last night and we've been throughout the whole thing 'till now.
"We've actually got loads of things in common."
The duo were asked if they would remain in touch after they had paid their respects to the Queen.
Zoe said: "Yeah, a hundred per cent.
Her new flame Jack added: "We're going to the funeral together on Monday.
"It's going to be mixed emotions, and it's something that is part of history so we want to be there and share that moment with someone else."
Jack added: "It's going to be sombre, really. Seeing the Queen go down through to Windsor - it's going to be weird to see really."
Zoe said meeting Jack was a "blessing in disguise" as they endured a long wait before getting to Westminster Hall.
She added: "I thought I was going to be exhausted but it's just gone so quickly in the queue."
The new romance blossomed through the couple "sharing stories, having laughs and banter."
"Good chat," they said in unison, with Jack adding that "crisps and chat" have been crucial in keeping them going.
Professor Ben Stanley also suggested the romcom the Queue, with David Beckham, making a guest appearance after queueing for eight hours.
He wrote on the social media platform: "Richard Curtis romcom called The Queue, back end of 2023, cameo by David Beckham. Just warning you."
Another user, Buerstmayr suggested the title: "Queue Actually".
While Hugh Norwood reckoned it should be called "Four Queues and a Funeral".
Declan Cashin, meanwhile joked: "Hope they remembered the mourning after pill."
Dr Vicky Fosteradded Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who did not arrive at Westminster Hall via the usual route, should be the villains of any fictional film
She tweeted: "Love Actually: The Queue. Starring these two, David Beckham as the cameo hero and Holly and Phil as the baddies."
