Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich still has multiple problems to contend with despite the Blues sale being done.
The Russian oligarch, whose 19-year ownership ended in such a controversial fashion a few weeks ago, was set to sue the European Union Council for how they have treated him due to his supposed links to Vladimir Putin and the sanctions that followed. Boris Johnson and his government also took matters into their own hands and asset-stripped him of his beloved Blues.
Something that resulted in in the club being operated under a 'special license' which prohibited money being generated in any form. After many months of stress, Todd Boehly was able to conclude his £4.25billion takeover. A deal that finally gave the fan base some clarity after the 2021/22 campaign had been tumultuous emotionally for everyone associated to the west London giants.

After the takeover was finally completed and once his heir was found and confirmed in the form of the part LA Dodgers owner, Abramovich took time to reflect on his tenure and thank everyone for the unrivalled success that followed.
The statement released by Abramovich on the Chelsea website at the time read: "It has been nearly three months since I announced my intention to sell Chelsea FC. During this time, the team have worked hard to find the right custodian for Chelsea FC that would be best positioned to successfully lead the Club into its next chapter.
"The ownership of this Club comes with great responsibility. Since I came to Chelsea nearly twenty years ago, I have witnessed first-hand what this Club can achieve. My goal has been to ensure that the next owner has a mindset that will enable success for the Men’s and Women’s team, as well as the will and drive to continue developing other key aspects of the Club, such as the Academy and the vital work of Chelsea Foundation. I am pleased this search has now come to a successful conclusion.
"As I hand over Chelsea to its new custodians, I would like to wish them the best of success, both on and off the pitch. It has been an honour of a lifetime to be a part of this Club – I would like to thank all the Club’s past and current players, staff, and of course fans for these incredible years.
"I am proud that as a result of our joint successes, millions of people will now benefit from the new charitable foundation which is being established. This is the legacy which we have created together.

With all focus from the supporters now on moving into the future with Boehly and his Clearlake Capital consortium who are busy at work planning a first summer transfer window ahead of the market officially opening on June 10, Abramovich's woes don't seem to be over just yet,
This is because, as per Sky News, a US Court has issued a warrant for two jets worth up to (£330m) to be seized meaning more valuable things are set to be lost on the Russian's behalf.
It is at this stage unclear whether or not the authorities can take control of the two planes but if they were able to, that will now be the US Court system, European Union Council and the UK Government who have all heaped misery onto the back of Abramovich within the last year.
