Roman Abramovich can give Thomas Tuchel his dream Chelsea starting XI with £90m transfer spree

Chelsea are set for a very busy summer transfer window, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

The Blues clinched the FIFA Club World Cup in dramatic fashion after beating Palmeiras in extra-time, with Kai Havertz's goal from the penalty spot ensuring that Chelsea have now won every trophy possible under owner Roman Abramovich.

In terms of the Premier League, it hasn't been the season that Thomas Tuchel would have envisaged, as their title hopes look all but over since leaders Manchester City are currently 16 points ahead of them in the table.

In order to bridge the gap, Tuchel will need significant backing and it's expected that he will be given the tools to shape the squad to his own identity, especially when considering that many first-team starters have uncertain futures.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger are all out of contract in the summer and right now it doesn't seem likely that the trio will extend their current deals.

With that in mind, Chelsea look set to strengthen their backline going into next season, with Jules Kounde likely to be pursued again, who has been a regular starter for Sevilla under manager Julen Lopetegui.

The engine room is another position Chelsea will look to bolster and links surrounding Monaco midfield star Aurelien Tchouameni will certainly intensify, with the Blues reportedly 'optimistic' that they can acquire the services of the young French international.

Both Kounde and Tchouameni, valued at £54m and £36m respectively on Transfermarkt, are long term targets, and it remains to be seen whether Marina Granovskaia will be able to pull off the double transfer swoop.

Whatever happens, it will be interesting to see who Tuchel has at his disposal next season as Chelsea look to win even more silverware.
