Ireland lock James Ryan was shown a red card during the first half of his side’s clash with South Africa in Dublin.
Ryan was initially sent to the sin bin by referee Matthew Carley having deemed a clearout in which Ryan made direct contact to the head of Springboks hooker Malcolm Marx to have met the yellow card threshold.
