Rogue landlord of 22 bedroom Kensington property so damp mushrooms grew on walls is fined £500,000

A rogue landlord who left tenants living opposite Hyde Park in damp-ridden conditions and cooking their food on camping stoves has been fined nearly half a million pounds.

Mohamed Ali Rasool, 31, was prosecuted after mushrooms and mould were found growing inside the 22-bedroom home in Hyde Park Gate, together with a slew of fire safety hazards.
