The latest Rodri injury news will provide a glimmer of hope to Man City fans after it was claimed his recovery is reportedly going better than expected.
Ballon d’Or winner Rodri was ruled out for the whole football season with an ACL injury in September.
The Spaniard limped out of City’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal and has since undergone surgery on his knee. The injury would rule Rodri out for the rest of the 2024-25 season.
However, a new report has suggested the Man City lynchpin could be back sooner than first thought.

According to The Sun, Rodri is already ahead of schedule in his recovery from the knee injury.
The report claims he has been running on a treadmill and ‘has impressed medics with his range of motion’.
Rodri previously revealed that he was targeting a return for the Club World Cup next June. However, the latest injury update could potentially see him return before the current Premier League campaign concludes.

“I have in mind to play this season,” Rodri said on Spanish show COPE last month. “Now the seasons are getting longer and the (Club) World Cup ends on July 13, I have in mind to return this year, as a challenge. I’ve already started walking and I’m feeling better than I thought.”
The Club World Cup is set to take place between June 14 and July 13, while the Premier League campaign will conclude on May 25.
