Sir Rod Stewart has said he wants to "move on" from the rock and roll genre of music we all know and love him for. The singer-songwriter is heading in a new direction and is looking forward to sharing his work with fans.
He has had six number one hits in the UK charts including Baby Jane and Maggie May. Now, the popular star has recorded swing tracks with pianist and TV host Jools Holland for an upcoming new album.
It comes as he wants to “leave all the rock and roll stuff behind”. It will be released next year, following Sir Rod’s UK summer tour which kicks off in Home Park Stadium in Plymouth on June 24 with support act Boy George and Culture Club.
