Sir Rod Stewart has been offering wise words to teenage son Alastair so he doesn't get tied down too young.
The Maggie May singer became a dad first time round when he was just 17 and has admitted he doesn't want Alastair, 15, sowing his oats and following suit just yet.
Sir Rod admitted he tells his son to 'keep it in your trousers' to avoid becoming a chip off the old block anytime soon.
During an appearance on Australian TV on Friday, the 77-year-old was asked what advice he'd give his younger self if he could.
The rocker said he'd give the same tips he gives to Alastair - which is not to fool around.
But he said the teenager, who he describes as 'extraordinarily good looking', wasn't likely to follow his advice.
“Keep it in your trousers. I tell my son that because I had a child at 17," Rod said.
"He’s 15, and extraordinarily good looking, so ‘No babies, keep it in your trousers, No babies!”
Rod laughed and replied "No!" when he was asked if Alastair, who he shares with wife Penny Lancaster, would pay attention to what his famous father said.
Alastair is a fashion model and back in the summer, the Stewart clan shared their pride as the youngster starred in a billboard advertisement for major fashion brand Palm Angels.
Rod and Alastair have a very close relationship and are both huge fans of Celtic FC. The pair often travel up to Glasgow from their home in Essex to cheer on the Hoops wearing their green and white attire. Earlier this year, Alastair shared footage of them and his younger brother Aiden, 10, on a private jet as they travelled up to Scotland for the Old Firm.
Sir Rod, who has eight kids to five different mums, only reunited with eldest daughter Sarah, 57, in recent years after she was put up for adoption by the musician and his girlfriend at the time when she was born.
Kimberly, 42, and Sean, 41, are his children with first wife Alana Stewart. Ruby, 34, was the product of Rod's relationship with model Kelly Emberg. Renee, 29, and Liam, 27, were born during Rod's second marriage to model Rachel Hunter. And he shares Alastair, 15, and Aiden, 10, with current wife Penny.
Rod also announced he's set to tour Australia next year with Cyndi Lauper. He went on to add he's "loving life" at the moment, especially his great relationship with his beloved kids.
He said: “I’m loving life and my children are not embarrassed to be seen with me. It’s just the opposite. They say ‘Why don’t you come out with us’. My sons borrow my clothes. I didn’t do this with my dad because he was a plumber.”
He also noted that he has a different relationship with all his children because there are so many years between them all. He said: “I’m a different father to each one of them. The oldest one is in their 50s. They are all different characters so I’m a different dad to each one. They are very proud of me and I’m very proud of them.”
