Rod Stewart was spotted chatting with locals outside an Edinburgh Tesco after performing the first of two sell out gigs in the capital.
The 78-year-old delighted fans at Edinburgh castle on Thursday night before filling his day with a tour of Leith on Friday - alongside his sister Mary. The pair took part in a tour made just for them by Invisible Cities before Rod's second show at the castle this evening.
Rod's father, who died in 1990, was born in Leith, with the siblings taking the time to look around their dad's birthplace between shows. Rod and Mary checked out Leith Links before heading along to the Shore, finishing up at the Docks as they took a look around some of the streets their father once walked, reports Edinburgh Live.

Rod paid tribute to his father in his song "Touchline" released last year. During the song the star sings "A Scotsman and plumber by trade", giving note to his dad's routes north of the border.
A spokesperson for Invisible Cities said: "We are delighted to say that Invisible (Edinburgh) which is part of Invisible Cities, has taken international rock star Rod Steward and his sister for a specially made tour of Leith where their father grew up and lived in.
"Starting this morning, the tour led by Dakota took them along Leith Links, The Shore and finished with a special visits to the Docks. Stewart and his sister wanted to learn more about the history of the area and understand what the community is like nowadays.
"The tour was a collaboration between Invisible Cities and the Leith Community Fund, as they are working on a long term partnership and launching more activities, events and impact in Leith."
