Sporting a Celtic chain, he wrote: "Getting a ‘Glasgow Celtic’ tattoo in Auckland to celebrate my beloved team ‘You’re in My Heart’ @celticfc @wallerray_tattoo."
The 78-year-old is currently in New Zealand as part of his world tour, and has already paid tribute to the Hoops boss and the football club with Ange himself appearing on the big screen holding the Viaplay Cup trophy after Celtic's 2-1 win last month.
Dressed in green and on stage at Auckland's Spark Arena, the songwriter also took to his Instagram stories showing his team on stage all dressed in the Hoops whilst Rod himself wore a green and white outfit.
Taking to the comments, people loved the work with one saying: "Imagine the pressure on this tattoo artist just knowing your inking up one of the best musicians to walk this earth?"
Another added: "Awesome, love how passionate you are and that beautiful neck chain. Thank you so much for the fabulous show you put on in Napier and safe travels back home."
Wife Penny added: "Amazing celebration to end a great Australian/New Zealand tour."
