Rockstar Games Officially Confirms 'GTA VI' Price Tag, Single-Player Experience Coming

"Grand Theft Auto VI's" official pricing has been confirmed by Rockstar Games as the studio opened up preorders for the game.

The studio has also provided details on the new Standard and Ultimate Editions of the much-awaited game.

Rockstar Games Officially Confirms 'GTA VI' Pricing

Rockstar Games officially announced the pricing for its upcoming AAA game. "Grand Theft Auto VI's" Standard edition will retail for $79.99, while a more premium Ultimate Edition will be priced at $99.99.

The announcement came just hours before preorders officially opened, and Rockstar also confirmed that the game will launch as a single-player experience with no new version of "GTA Online" arriving alongside it at release.

The $80 price point puts "GTA VI" in line with titles like "Mario Kart World," which became the first major release to break past the $70 mark when it launched alongside the Switch 2 last year.

Rockstar's official description frames the upcoming title as the biggest and most immersive entry in the series it has ever produced, set in Vice City and the surrounding state of Leonida.

The studio confirmed the game launches November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the Ultimate Edition offering an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, and apparel woven throughout the story of protagonists Jason and Lucia.

'GTA VI' Preorder Is Now Live on Consoles

Preorders for "GTA VI" went live at midnight local time on June 25, available through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store, and other major retailers, including Amazon and Walmart.

Anyone who preorders the digital version will be able to begin preloading the game starting November 12.

Physical copies will also be available starting that same date, though Rockstar clarified the boxed version will only include a download code rather than an actual disc.

Customers who preorder either edition before November 20 will also receive a free month of GTA+, redeemable for use across "Grand Theft Auto V" and other classic Rockstar titles included in the GTA+ library.

'GTA VI' Ultimate Edition, Preorder Bonuses

Every preorder made before November 20 comes with the "Vintage Vice City Pack," which includes a 1955 Vapid Stanier sedan along with a garage near Ocean Beach, decadent outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia, and a weapon pattern inspired by the tropical style of the era.

The Ultimate Edition expands on that with a much larger set of bonuses, including a 1995 Grotti Cheetah sports car, a pair of Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers styled after the Vercetti Estate, and personalized sidearms for both protagonists.

It also unlocks access to several exclusive locations, including Rideout Customs for vehicle modifications, Sara's Unisex Salon for personalized looks, and Electric Fang Tattoo, featuring more than 50 designs created by the art collective FAILE.

Additional content includes a 1967 Vapid Dominator Buggy with its own garage, a customized Vapid Ganado pickup, a fishing boat docked at Washington Beach, and access to One-Eyed Willie's mod shop in Lake Leonida.

The Ultimate Edition can also be purchased separately as an upgrade by Standard Edition owners at any point after launch. It seems that the preorder bonuses will also be added on top of the Ultimate Edition's inclusions if the game is pre-purchased now.
