On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that approximately 35 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon into the area of Ein Zeitim in northern Israel. The IDF promptly responded by attacking the source of the shooting, with no reported casualties resulting from the rocket fire.
In a retaliatory move, the IDF targeted terrorist sites in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah, in a statement, claimed responsibility for the attack on the command headquarters of the Third Infantry Brigade of the 91st Division in the Ein Zeitim base, using Katyusha rockets.
This incident is part of a series of cross-border exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah that have been ongoing for months. These exchanges have led to the displacement of tens of thousands of Lebanese and Israeli residents from their homes. Israel has utilized artillery, jets, and drones to strike targets, while Hezbollah has employed its arsenal of rockets and missiles.
