Rock legend Rod Stewart has taken matters into his own hands to repair a pothole filled road in his local area.
Taking to Instagram, the 77-year-old shared a video of himself and some friends shovelling gravel off the back of a lorry to fill the potholes.
Looking at the camera, Rod said he had no other choice but to do it himself as "no-one can be bothered to do it".
He said: "People are bashing their cars up. The other day, there was an ambulance with a burst tyre. My Ferrari can't go through here at all."
Rod sang as he worked on the road in Harlow Essex near where he lives, wearing a tracksuit, hi-vis vest, and green Adidas runners.
He said: "This is the state of the road near where I live in Harlow, and it's been like this for ages.
"So me and the boys thought we would come and do it ourselves.
"We are filling the holes while millions and millions of pounds have been spent on the M11."
The post was captioned: "Working for a living, filling holes is good for the soul!"
His daughters Kimberly and Ruby commented with heart and clapping emojis, while one fan urged him not to hurt himself as he had tickets for his concert in June.
They said: "Don't hurt yourself I got tickets to see you in June".
Others praised the star for taking on the job himself.
They said: "Legend Rod! That road is a nightmare!!! Appreciate it."
A second wrote: "Well said. I live in Harlow and the roads are getting a joke with the amount of holes."
While a third commented: "Awesome. Those holes were terrible. Thank you Rod".
Essex County Council has said they will be requesting a report on why the road was not repaired sooner.
