Sammy Lauver, a resident of Rochester, New York, recently shared a frustrating experience on TikTok, and the video has since racked up 2.4 million views. In it, the TikToker explained that she had traveled to another state for a wedding, only to realize she wasn’t supposed to be there. “I found out in real time that I was not invited to a wedding that I thought I was attending at that moment,” she said in her video.
Sammy went on to explain that the person getting married was someone she went to high school with. Although they lived in different states, they talked regularly on Instagram, and the bride and her fiance had even attended Sammy’s own wedding in the past. She pointed out that everything seemed legitimate when the invitation arrived in the mail. It included the registry, the location, the dress code, and details about food and live music.
