Rocco Vata has been clocked celebrating directly in the face of a rival after a goal scored by the Celtic 'B' team against Rangers 'B' this afternoon.
The young Hoops side ran out 5-2 winners in the Lowland League derby clash which proved an appetiser before the Premiership equivalent on Monday. Celtic had twice brought it back level after going 1-0 and 2-1 down, but they finally got ahead at 3-2 when Rangers midfielder Charlie McCann put one into his own net.
Vata was keen to lap this up and before going off to celebrate with his teammates. He could be spotted on the club's highlights package goading the battler who used to represent the Republic of Ireland youth sides like he does, before swapping allegiances to Northern Ireland. It's been a busy week for Celtic's teenager after making his senior debut against Hibs midweek and then being linked to some of Europe's biggest clubs after form in the Parkhead youth system.
Coach Darren O'Dea told Celtic TV of the win over Rangers: “I think they coped well. We should have started the game better, it took us 10, 15 minutes just to find our feet.
"We spoke before the game about playing in front of crowds on this stage, and how it can bring a little bit of nerves and I think we had that at the start. It just took us a little bit of time to settle in.
"Once we did, we found a rhythm. I'm delighted with the result but in terms of performance, we're happy but we can definitely be better."
