Robson Green has revealed he is lining up a TV comeback with former co-star Jerome Flynn.
The duo were huge stars together in the nineties, appearing in hit ITV drama Soldier Soldier for five series, then topping the pop charts with Unchained Melody and I Believe.
The pair have barely worked together since but Robson said: “There may be something, you’re the first to hear this, in the air with me and Jerome coming soon. A TV show.
“We had a meeting and it went well.
Calling Jerome, 58, not only a friend but a “brilliant actor” , Robson added: “Everyone saw that in Ripper Street and Game of Thrones, but also on stage he’s amazing.”
Asked whether the show would be fiction or documentary, he added: “It might be a hybrid... let’s see.”
Robson’s work without his buddy includes ITV series Grantchester, in which he plays Det Insp Geordie Keating.
At The Cheltenham Festival on Friday, Robson, 57, said another series was planned, and a movie had been discussed.
But work dried up so much in lockdown that Robson considered going back to being a naval architect. He said: “I was thinking, ‘Am I going back into hull design?’ But luckily, the pandemic is easing a bit.”
