'Roblox' Unveils New 18+ Games Featuring Bungie Co-Founder's Extraction Shooter

Roblox has unveiled six new games that will be available on its platform, which are all 18+ titles for users to enjoy soon.

All of the titles being developed under the incubator are aimed at older players, continuing Roblox's ongoing push to expand its audience beyond its younger core user base.

'Roblox' Unveils Six 18+ Games Under Incubator

Roblox has revealed its first batch of games from the 2026 Incubator cohort, a new program designed to bring more mature and ambitious titles to the platform.

Six of the 26 selected teams have been highlighted in an early preview, with the lineup covering a wide range of genres including extraction shooters, open world driving, car combat, and fantasy RPGs.

The six games highlighted in the initial reveal are:

  • "Octane," an open world driving game from Ignition Switch;
  • "Sky Pixel," a cozy farming and building RPG from the creators of Pixel Quest;
  • "Cosmic Carnage," a car combat demolition derby developed by Ghost Fox Games featuring talent from EA, Unity, and Disney;
  • "Fossil Force," a dinosaur-themed extraction shooter from Nibblebyte;
  • "Aetherfall," an open world elemental RPG from Roblox veterans Pixel Blaze Studio; and
  • "Drifters," an extraction shooter from Look North World.

The Roblox Incubator is a six-month intensive program that takes promising game concepts from prototype to polished releases, with Roblox providing mentorship, support, and guidance throughout the process. Teams can unlock additional resources as they hit development milestones along the way.

Games released under the program are also set to benefit from a 42 percent increase in the Developer Exchange rate that Roblox recently introduced for eligible in-game spending generated by age-verified players who are 18 and older in the US.

New Extraction Shooter from Bungie Co-Founder

Among the six games, "Drifters" has drawn the most attention due to who is making it, as Look North World was founded by Alexander Seropian. He is a renowned developer who co-founded Bungie alongside Jason Jones back in 1991, according to IGN. The studio also includes alumni from Disney Interactive, EA, and Epic Games.

"Drifters" is described as an extraction shooter set in a lawless world, where players venture into dangerous zones to secure loot and upgrade their characters, balancing the rewards against the constant risk of other players and hostile enemies.

"I spent my career trying to zig while others have zagged, always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow as a game developer, and my journey on Roblox so far has been the most exciting and personally rewarding since my early days making games on the PC," Seropian said.

He added that the platform's audience growth and toolset made it feel like an important part of gaming's future, and that Look North World decided to build there to reach a new gaming audience.

Roblox Incubator, Jumpstart Program

The Incubator program was announced back in March alongside a separate initiative called Roblox Jumpstart, both built around supporting creators developing novel games for the platform.

Roblox defines novel games as titles exploring new genres, new gameplay mechanics, and new visual styles, generally aimed at older audiences.

Applications for the 2026 Incubator cohort are now closed, since all 26 teams have already been selected and are actively in development. The Jumpstart program, however, remains open on a rolling basis for creators with strong game concepts who want to apply.

Roblox has not yet confirmed specific release windows for any of the six highlighted titles, though all are expected to arrive on the platform before the end of the year.
