Leeds United defender Robin Koch has hailed the work of the club’s recruitment team this summer. The Whites have moved quickly to bring in six new signings ahead of the pre-season tour of Australia, where they will face matches against Brisbane Roar, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Darko Gyabi, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra have all arrived at Elland Road during the window, in what has been an important time for the club after narrowly beating the drop last season. Leeds have also lost Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City, with Raphinha too set to follow him out of the exit door, meaning major surgery was needed on the squad.
Gyabi aside, who is initially set to link-up with the U21s, each of the five additions arrive with experience of European football behind them – the majority of that coming in the Champions League. That will undoubtedly help raise the standard of the squad, which was still heavily relying on several members of the Championship promotion winning side last season.

In an interview with Bild, Koch believes that each of the new signings will strengthen the team and singled out Adams for big praise after his first few days of training.
He said: “Of course. I am happy about every reinforcement. The club has done a great job. Tyler, in particular, has often shown what he can do in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
“He’s a top player, and from what I can tell from the first few days, he’s also a top guy. He and the other newcomers will strengthen our team enormously.”
