Leeds United’s Robin Koch, Charlie Cresswell, Lewis Bate, Sam Greenwood and Archie Gray have all received call ups to their respective national teams. Koch is set to represent Germany as Hansi Flick’s side gets ready for friendlies with Israel and Netherlands at the end of the month.
Germany have secured their qualification to the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year and the two fixtures in the coming weeks will enable them to step up their preparations for the tournament. Koch was absent from all three of Germany’s squads during the first half of the season due to injury, but after establishing himself as a regular at Leeds since his return in December, Flick has decided to bring him straight back in.
Meanwhile, Cresswell has been named in Lee Carsley’s England Under-21s squad for European U21 Championship qualification matches with Andorra and Albania. Cresswell has been capped twice by the U21s since the start of the season and has received his fourth successive call-up to the Young Lions.

Bate and Greenwood will also represent England’s Young Lions, but instead for Andy Edwards’ U20s side. The Leeds duo are set to face Poland and Germany in friendly matches over the next two weeks, with both looking to add to the four caps they have already achieved for this Young Lions side.
And finally, 16-year-old Gray has received his first call-up to Tom Curtis’ England Under-17s side for matches with France and Luxembourg. It caps a dream week for Gray, who netted his first goal for the U23s against Manchester United earlier in the week in front of just under 10,000 supporters at Elland Road.
