Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has stated he will "probably train" on Thursday after picking up a calf injury before the return of the Premier League.
Firmino is expecting to be fit and ready for Liverpool 's game against Brentford on Monday as Jurgen Klopp 's attacking options will be bolstered after already missing Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.
The 31-year-old, who is out of contract at Anfield in the summer, spoke about his disappointment at missing out on a place in the Brazil squad for the World Cup despite being in goalscoring form this season.

Firmino missed Liverpool's defeat in the Carabao Cup to Manchester City and the win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Boxing Day. He has also seemingly ruled himself out of Friday's clash with Leicester.
"I’m already healed, thank God," Firmino said to talkSPORT. "I’ll probably train tomorrow. Then all being well I’ll be ready not for the next game [Leicester] but the one after that [Brentford]. So all great.”
"Individually speaking, I started very well, of course we, as a team, did not start the season well, but we are coming back. Thanks to the work we are doing, and our mentality of never giving up, we’re now back and in form.”
Firmino watched from home as Brazil were beaten by Croatia in a penalty shootout in Qatar at the quarter-final stage.
“Of course it was frustrating not being called up to the World Cup but as I’ve said before that’s part of God’s plan and I am following God’s plan," he added.
“It really does motivate me more and more not having gone to the World Cup so I will work hard to get back into the Selecao.”
