Robert Pattinson is best-known for storming the screen as Edward Cullen - and capturing the hearts of an entire generation.
The hunky Hollywood star, who had the humblest of beginnings in Barnes, London, turns 37 this weekend (Saturday, May 13).
Known for his starring role in the vampire franchise, his well-documented relationships and his work for Dior, more recently he is known for starring in The Batman.
Other recent film credits also include The Lighthouse and Tenet, with his love life reported on less than ever before.
But to mark his birthday and his most low-key relationship to date, The Mirror takes a look inside his love life.
Nina Schubert (2003 — 2006)
Before R-Patz landed the leading role in Twilight, which would catapult him to ultimate fame, the British actor lived in Barnes, South West London.
Just a normal Londoner with high hopes of breaking into the film industry, Robert fell in love with the girl next door, Nina Schubert.
From 2003 until 2006 the Edward Cullen actor - before he played the role of the vampire - dated his neighbour and fellow drama school student.
The pair dated for three years while Robert lived at home in Barnes with his parents and siblings, with him breaking up with Nina in 2006.
Splitting up when he moved to Hollywood, this came shortly after Robert starred as Cedric Diggory in 2005 movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Kristen Stewart ( 2009 — 2013)
Probably Robert's most high-profiled romance came when he dated Twilight co-star Kristen.
The pair met on the set of the hit movie franchise based on the book series by Stephenie Meyer, where they starred as love interests.
Robert played the role of Edward Cullen, a 104-year-old vampire who was physically frozen at the age of 17, while Kristen played Bella Swan, a 17-year-old student.
Just like in the hit movie series, the young movie stars fell in love "pretty quickly", with the film director Catherine Hardwicke advising the hunk not to get involved with Kristen because she was under 18 at the time.
Fans were pretty obsessed with the real-life romance between the two Twilight stars, with them heartbroken when it all came crashing down.
After filming the remainder of the franchise between 2008 and 2012, they called it quits after Kristen famously cheated on Robert with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Robert was said to be "really depressed" following the cheating scandal, with them getting back together and rekindling their romance just two months later.
Calling it quits for good eight weeks later, the pair never reunited and in an interview he said of their split "sh*t happens".
Nikki Reed (rumoured)
Robert and Nikki starred in Twilight together - she played his vampire Rosalie Cullen - with fans convinced at one stage that the pair were more than just friends.
Nikki was quick to quash the rumours though, with her telling Seventeen Magazine “I can’t win,” back in 2009.
She added: "A few weeks ago I was at this event, and they said, ‘You missed Rob’s birthday, how do you feel?’ And I said, ‘I called him, it’s fine.’ And they wrote, ‘She’s clearly bitter over the breakup.’ I’m like, what breakup? Rob and I were never together."
Dylan Penn (rumoured )
Hunky Rob was linked to Sean Penn's daughter Robyn Penn for a short while in the early 2010s.
With rumours swirling around the pair, they were soon shut down when the model and actress, who was 23 at the time, spoke out.
In 2014 while chatting to Italian Vanity Fair, Dylan dismissed the rumours that she was ever romantically involved with the hunky Hollywood star.
"We're just friends," she said. "They photographed us in a place where there were other people and cropped the picture. Silly. I laughed about it," she added, referring to a photo of her and R-Patz.
FKA Twigs ( 2014 — 2017)
Just months after they started dating in 2014, Robert popped the question to singer FKA Twigs.
Reports say that the couple met after Robert saw her perform on stage, but the actor later shared that they met through mutual friend Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.
Although the pair got engaged early on in their relationship and did stay together for three years, they sadly didn't last.
During their three-year-long union, they were even thought to have purchased a property together, with reports saying in 2014 that they were house-hunting for £6 million home in trendy North London.
But due to conflicting schedules, according to reports, the couple split in October 2017.
Suki Waterhouse (2018 — present)
Debuting their romance to the public at a red carpet event in 2022, the pair had been loved up for a while before they stepped out at a Dior fashion show.
Robert and Suki were first spotted together back in July 2018, but romance rumours surrounding the couple date back a few months before the first candid sighting.
The following year, in 2019, Rob, Suki and now-split couple Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn were reportedly spotted together on a double date in Los Angeles.
The actor and supermodel have kept their relationship very low-key, with them seemingly avoiding drama at all costs and it proving to work for them - as they're still together more than five years down the line.
Touching on keeping his romances private a couple of years ago, Robert said: "If you let people in, it devalues what love is. If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall it ends up better."
More recently Robert and Suki made their Met Gala debut when the couple stepped out looking all loved-up and totally smitten.
