Robert Lewandowski has reportedly turned down an offer from Chelsea this summer with the striker’s heart set on a move to Barcelona.
The 33-year-old is set to leave Germany heavyweights Bayern Munich this summer after failing to agree on a new deal with the Bavarians with just 12 months left on his current contract. Lewandowski has scored 344 goals in 373 games for Bayern since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, winning eight consecutive Bundesliga titles as well as the Champions League in 2020.
The Polish international declared his intention to leave Bayern earlier this year, immediately putting Chelsea and Paris Saint-German on alert despite claims the striker was eyeing up a move to Barca. Chelsea are currently negotiating a deal that will see Romelu Lukaku return to Inter on loan this summer, with Lewandowski reportedly earmarked by Thomas Tuchel as the Belgian’s ideal replacement.
