Robert Lewandowski admits he's "open to everything" ahead of transfer window

Robert Lewandowski has revealed that he is yet to make his mind up where his future lies ahead of this summer's transfer window.

The 33-year-old will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season.

And rumours are rife that he could be set to part ways with Bayern Munich, despite continuing his imperious form for the Bundesliga club.

Lewandowski has scored an incredible 39 goals in all competitions this season, once again bettering his record of a goal every game.

But he has hinted that he may be ready for a new challenge before the next campaign.

When asked by Sky Sports in Germany whether he will be on the move this summer, he said: "I am open to everything. I'm quiet.

"It is important for me to be able to focus on my game, always on what can happen in the last match.

"Everything that remains to be done regarding the contracts is a secondary issue and remains in the background.”

Back in December, Lewandowski also hinted that his time at the Allianz Arena could be coming to a close by playing down talk that he would be signing a new contract.

When asked about the possibility of a new deal, he replied: "I'm not thinking about that].

"I'm happy with how things are at the moment and focused on the current season. I'm used to rumours every year so that doesn't bother me. I haven't read the press for a long time.

"I'm always ready for the challenge. I don't know if it'd be new, but I'm always ready."

That does not appear to be in line with the beliefs of Bayern chairman Herbert Hainer, who claimed that he thinks Lewandowski will end his career in Munich, along with Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller.

"I would love for all three of them to finish their careers at FC Bayern," Hainer said. "And I also firmly assume that it will."

Lewandowski has been linked with a host of moves, including to Real Madrid or Barcelona in La Liga.

But another option appears to be joining Premier League side Arsenal, who are expected to sign a new striker this summer following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the uncertainty around Alexandre Lacazette's future.
