Tom Brady announced he is retiring from football as a Buccaneer on Wednesday, but if it was up to Robert Kraft, the star quarterback’s last NFL contract would be with the Patriots.
The New England team owner appeared on CNN, where he was asked if he’d sign Brady to a one-day contract so he could retire with the Patriots, the team with which he won six Super Bowls.
“I’d do it tomorrow,” Kraft told CNN. “Not only do I want it, our fans are clamoring for it, and to us, he always has been and always will be a Patriot . . . We will do everything in our power to bring him back, have him sign off as a Patriot and find ways to honor him for many years to come.
