Robert Griffin III believes the Rams are an ideal fit for Kenny Golladay

The New York Giants are releasing Kenny Golladay after two disappointing seasons with the organization. After that news was reported, Robert Griffin III took to Twitter to say that the Los Angeles Rams would be an ideal fit for Golladay thanks to his previous experience with Matthew Stafford.

Before signing an expensive multi-year deal with the Giants in 2021, Golladay had a couple of productive years with the Lions in 2018 and 2019. Golladay registered 1,063-plus receiving yards in each season and 16 combined touchdowns in those two seasons with Stafford passing him the ball.

In his final year with the Lions in 2020, Golladay was limited to five games due to injuries and he’s since struggled to remain on the field. Even when he’s available now, the Giants made him a healthy scratch most weeks and he finished with only six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in 2022.

Even though it was fun to watch Golladay early in his career with the Lions, he’s become an oft-injured wideout that will be turning 30 years old during the 2023 season. While the Rams could add depth at the wide receiver position this offseason, they’d be wise to avoid reuniting Stafford and Golladay.
