Robert F. Kennedy Jr. To Testify In NY Ballot Access Case

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. visits the U.S.-Mexico border

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to testify in New York state court next week in defense of his campaign's petition for ballot access in the state. Kennedy, along with his senior ballot access counsel Paul Rossi, are expected to appear in person at the trial in New York Supreme Court in Albany.

The legal challenge against Kennedy's ballot access petition was filed by Clear Choice PAC, a Democrat-aligned outside group aiming to address third-party issues. The group alleges that Kennedy is in violation of state election law by not residing at the Katonah, New York, address listed on his petition. Kennedy, who has been living in Los Angeles, California, for several years, has openly acknowledged Los Angeles as his home on multiple occasions.

Despite the legal dispute, the New York State Board of Elections has confirmed that Kennedy's ballot access petition contains more than the required number of valid signatures for him to be eligible for ballot access in New York.
