Robbie Williams is releasing new music - but it will sound a little bit different to his usual hits, as this time he's voicing a famous feline.
The Angels singer is the new voice of Felix the cat, the black and white moggy who has starred in the Felix cat food adverts as its mascot since 1989. Robbie has recorded a brand new song called It's Great To Be A Cat as part of a new advertising campaign for the food, which is due to be released on Wednesday, January 25.
The song has been written by Robbie himself, inspired by his love for his own pet cats. Alongside the new song, Robbie, 48, will also star in a short film alongside Felix himself to mark the release of the new track, which will see the pair "getting up to mischief" as Robbie records the "earworm" song.

Robbie said: "The cat is out of the bag, I’m the new voice of Felix. I’ve been a long-time fan of cats, I’ve had many feline friends over the years and after studying their fascinating behaviour, I can confidently say, It’s Great To Be a Cat."
The new song will also be available to stream on Spotify from Friday, January 27, and you will also be able to listen to it over at FelixandRobbie.com. The new Felix advert will debut on YouTube at 5pm on Wednesday, before appearing on the likes of mainstream TV channels and TikTok.
Rebecca Marshall, Senior Brand Manager at Purina UK&I, said: "I’m so excited to be launching our latest It’s Great To Be a Cat campaign with Robbie Williams. The two truly are the pURRfect match and the new track is one that will definitely get everyone in a playful mood."
Fabio Degli Esposti, Group Marketing Director at Purina, added: "Combining our much-loved FELIX food and treasured Felix-the-cat character, with the one-and-only Robbie Williams, gives us our best recipe yet. The two being mischievous together in their very own film premiere, shows exactly why they’re the perfect fit".
