Hearts have recorded their highest season ticket sales for 16 years as they smashed through the 14,000 barrier.
Jambos fans are well up for the new campaign, which could see them take part in the Europa League group stage for the first time since 2004. After cruising to third place in the Premiership and reaching the Scottish Cup final, punters can’t wait for the 2022/23 season and have been buying season tickets in their numbers.
The Tynecastle club expect to reach the 15,000 mark after they went on general sale earlier today, and boss Robbie Neilson has hailed the “incredible” backing from Hearts fans. “The boys reported back for pre-season training today and to hear that we've already sold 14,000 season tickets is nothing short of incredible,” he said.
"It gives everyone here a huge lift ahead of what will be a massive season for the club. We've got so much to look forward to, not least European group stage football, and I want every Season Ticket holder to know that we'll be working tirelessly over the coming weeks to ensure we're ready from the first whistle.
"Can we get to 15,000 before our league opener against Ross County? I certainly wouldn't bet against it. The backing from the stands at Tynecastle is incredible and I'd like to thank you all for your ongoing support."
Three new faces will be on show by the time the action kicks-off against Ross County on July 30.
Australian international Kye Rowles has signed a three-year deal, and he joins former Livingston winger Alan Forrest and ex-Dundee United defender Lewis Neilson in Gorgie.
Neilson will further add to his squad and a deal for Peterborough United midfielder Jorge Grant could be concluded before the squad jets off to Spain for a summer training camp later this week.
