Liverpool supporters are desperate to hold onto star player Mohamed Salah at the end of the season, but if the unthinkable happens only one of two players could replace him.
That's the view of former Anfield hero Robbie Fowler, who believes both Salah and teammate Sadio Mane will sign new deals to stay at Anfield, despite the pair's contracts being allowed to lapse into their final 18 months.
But should the worst scenario materialise and Liverpool's Egyptian King turn down a new contract offer, Fowler - who's 183 goals for the club saw him nicknamed 'God' by the Kop - says that fans will only accept one of two big-name replacements.

Fowler told the Mirror : “Like every Liverpool fan across the world, I just want the club to give new contracts to Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
“Unlike most though, I don’t think the lack of movement in negotiations is some big conspiracy to get them out of the club, to be replaced by younger models in a year’s time or sooner.
“The obvious question has to be: what happens next in their contracts?
“If they don’t sign, then logically, they can be sold in the summer. Would Liverpool be able to rival City next season if that happens?
“Not unless they sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to replace them. And as (Romelu) Lukaku shows, even hundreds of millions is no guarantee.
“That’s the level of player they would need to replace those two. But if they can play on for five more years at least as Klopp says, why try to replace them, especially as they know Klopp’s system inside out?"
Both Salah and Mane have been tremendous servants to Liverpool in their respective tenures, with the former's 152 goals recently taking him up to sixth in the Reds' all-time record goal-scoring list.
Mane has 110 goals in all competitions and is the only player to have scored 10+ goals in the last eight Premier League seasons.
