A robber smashed their way into a Leeds petrol station with a metal bar before making off with the shop's till during the early hours of Sunday morning, West Yorkshire Police (WYP) have said.
WYP have launched an investigation following the robbery, which happened at 3.30am at the Shell petrol station on Aberford Road in Oulton. A spokesperson for the force said a single robber, who was carrying a metal bar, forced entry to the station's Londis shop before demanding cash.
They said: "Police are investigating following a robbery at a petrol station in Oulton in the early hours of Sunday morning (May 29). Officers were called shortly before 3.30am to Aberford Road to a report of a robbery.

"It is reported that a single person has forced their way into the filling station shop using a metal bar before making demands for money. They left with the till and its contents."
WYP are now appealing for information and are keen to speak to anyone who saw suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the robbery.
