Rob Burrow has collected his MBE at a ceremony in Windsor Castle. The rugby league legend, who has suffered with Motor Neurone Disease since being diagnosed in 2019, was honoured in London on Tuesday in light of his incredible services to both the sport he played with such distinction and his efforts to raise funds for the MND community.
Burrow has deservedly earned mainstream recognition for his attempts to raise both awareness and funds to support the battle to find a cure for MND. He was subsequently given the honour of an MBE in the New Year's Honours List, and he has now officially collected the award.
At a service inside Windsor Castle, Burrow was formally presented with his MBE, a poignant moment for a man who has done so much to support those in need.

Burrow's Centre for MND Appeal has raised nearly £2million in a matter of months since it was founded last year, and alongside his former Leeds Rhinos team-mate Kevin Sinfield, he has continued to raise millions of pounds for the MND community.
Sinfield was presented with an OBE for his own fundraising efforts earlier this year, which included his phenomenal seven marathons in seven days, followed by the 24-hour challenge that saw him run over 100 miles from Leicester to Headingley.
And now Burrow has officially received his honour.
