Rob Brydon has requested fans respect his privacy following the exit of his co-worker, Ken Bruce, from the BBC.
The BBC Radio 2 presenter spearheaded his morning programme for an incredible 31 years before announcing his departure on the 40th birthday of BBC Breakfast.
Listeners were devastated that the mainstay was finally saying farewell, including comedian and fellow presenter, Rob Brydon. The Would I Lie To You host took to Twitter to say he was "devastated and asked his followers to "respect my privacy."

The actor said: "Devastated to hear @RealKenBruce has decided to leave @BBCRadio2. I ask that people please respect my privacy at this difficult time."
His fans shared the sentiment as one added: "Can’t believe it. Mornings without Ken – how will I get any work done and what about PopMaster and Tracks of Their Years?!"
Whilst a second said: "Poor old Radio 2 is gonna lose a load of listeners – I shall be going with Ken without a doubt."
Ken's exit came as he reached the end of his contract and felt it was simply the right time to say goodbye. During his announcement, he said: "I have decided the time is right for me to move on from Radio 2.
"I’ll reach the end of my current contract in March and so at that point I will be moving on from Radio 2. Nothing stays the same forever. I have been here for quite a long time now, and it possibly is time to move over and let somebody else have a go."
