The cops are again urging anyone who has information that could help them or who witnessed the crash to come forward.

Officers are particularly interested to speak to the driver of a minibus that stopped at the scene just after the incident.

The driver reportedly provided assistance and was heading towards Edinburgh. He is urged by the police to get in touch with the police as soon as possible.

Those with information are urged to contact the police on 101 and quote incident number 3100 of June 6.

Sergeant Andy Currie from the Road Policing Unit at Motherwell said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Morrison’s family and friends.

“Enquiries continue into the cause of this crash and I would again urge anyone who witnessed this crash or who has any information that may assist us to come forward.

"We are keen to speak to the driver of a minibus that stopped at the scene shortly after the crash happened and provided assistance.

"The bus was heading to Edinburgh and I would urge the driver to contact us as soon as possible as he may hold information that will assist our investigation.

“We would also ask anyone driving on the A702 in the Elsrickle area before the crash took place to contact us.”
