A bus has crashed into a level crossing in Formby causing major travel delays.
Police were called to Formby at 8.35am after reports that a bus had hit the barrier at Queens Road and Raven Meols Lane level crossing. Police have said the driver of the bus has "spoken to" officers at the scene.
Merseyrail has confirmed that the Arriva F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 are subject to delays and cancellations. The 44 service will be using Kings Road, omitting Ward Ave.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We had a call at 8.35am today that a bus had been in collision with a level crossing barrier at Raven Meols Lane in Formby. BTP, Network Rail, Merseyrail, and the local authority have all been contacted and the driver of the bus has been spoken to."
Traffic management system Inrix said Raven Meols Lane was closed in both directions and there was heavy traffic in the area.
