RMT chief Mick Lynch did not look overly impressed on Thursday's Good Morning Britain as he was interviewed by Adil Ray.
Adil and his co-host Charlotte Hawkins spoke to Mr Lynch live from central London on the second day of rail strikes in the country.
The hosting duo were keen to get an update on the discussions over the matter, but Adil was also interested to know if Mr Lynch would be considering a career change.
Towards the end of the interview, he said: "This week, in just a few days, you have been described as a huge political voice - perhaps bigger than some of the political voices we do have in this country.
"Have you considered a career in politics, could this be the next move for you after you've sorted what's going on at the RMT?" he added.
Refusing to entertain the idea, Mr Lynch simply replied: "My job is to represent my members and get them a deal in this dispute and I'm focused on that."
GMB viewers were more than impressed with Mr Lynch's latest appearance, but claimed he is too honest to be a politician.
Taking to Twitter, one person posted: "Mick Lynch couldn't be Prime Minister. He talks far too much sense and tells the truth! #GMB."
Another said: "No way could Mick Lynch be a politician. He’s not a liar #gmb," while a third added: "Mick Lynch for PM #gmb."
Someone else tweeted: "Seen this Mick Lynch on other interviews he knows his stuff. He's made all these Presenter's on all these TV News shows look stupid. @GMB."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV Hub.
