Riyad Mahrez 'close' to agreeing three-year contract and more Man City transfer rumours

Riyad Mahrez has told Manchester City he wants to stay at the club and is now close to signing a fresh three-year deal, according to an emerging report.

The Algerian has been a regular in Pep Guardiola's starting line up since his £60 million move from Leicester City in 2018. Since that transfer, Mahrez has always seemed settled in Manchester and now looks likely to extend his stay at the Premier League champions even further.

90min report that the 31-year-old has told City he wants to stay at the club and is ready to finalise a contract extension. That deal would be three years — with an option of an extra year — which would keep him in Sky Blue until at least 2025.
