One of Nottingham's best-loved festivals is making a welcome return to the Victoria Embankment for the first time in two years after being cancelled due to Covid restrictions. It will take place over two days from Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7.
The festival attracts huge crowds with over 25,000 visitors in previous years visiting the embankment. The festival has much to offer families and music fans with bands, fairground rides, games and attractions on the banks of the Trent.
While festivals may focus on the music and Riverside is no exception with three stages planned for the big event, there will also be a number of street food and drink vendors available for visitors. This will include Hawaiian and Sri Lankan food as well as Jamaican street food.
This year will see fourteen different street food vendors and four bars across the festival offering a range of everything from pancakes to churros.

For the vegans, there will be an appearance from The Filthy Vegan.
The Filthy Vegan has become a local food favorite as the team serves up juicy burgers, kebabs and deep-fried pickles. One of the most popular items on the menu is their signature Man Like Jose burger which is a vegan brioche bun filled with their 'secret filthy sauce', salad, Louisana style patty and another secret sauce topping.
For anyone looking for a more international offering, there will be poke bowls from Pokewaves Island, Indian street food from Mirch Masala and Mrs Patels and Jamaican food from Back A Yard. Colombo Street Food will also provide Sri Lankan flavour to the event.
Pizza and burgers are festival staple foods and will be in good supply for the weekend. Power to Pizza, Plantizza, oh la la la Fries and Romano's Catering will have you covered.
Cheeky Pancakes, Churrotopia and Simply Cakes and Coffee will be on-site to make sure those with a sweet tooth are catered for. Falafel Baffle will also have a selection of vegan treats available.
There are some pubs nearby that serve food if street eats or al fresco dining isn't your thing. This includes the Trent Navigation bar who offers a full lunch menu and deals such as two main courses for £15. Brewhouse and Kitchen serve big burgers and pints with some deals in place for lunchtime visitors.
Previous years at Riverside have seen street food options such as Yorkshire pudding wraps and authentic Indian Cuisine. There were also plenty of beer tents available for adults.
