The River of Light trail will reopen on Liverpool's waterfront tonight after heavy winds forced the event to close at the last minute.
The 2km walking trail of striking rainbow-coloured lights was shut down last night, November 2, due to yellow weather warnings for wind issued by the Met Office.
Liverpool City Council has now confirmed that the event, which is due to continue until Sunday, November 6, will return at 5pm tonight as usual.

A spokesman also confirmed that no damage had been caused by the 65mph gusts predicted by the Met Office, which also warned of potential flooding as a result of heavy rainfall.
