A new bridge across the River Lagan in South Belfast has finally been set a completion date.
The bridge from the entrance of Ormeau Park to the Gasworks in South Belfast is part of a series of investment projects that are included in the Belfast Region City Deal.
Once construction on the bridge begins, the Department for Infrastructure has said that it will take three years to complete.

South Belfast SDLP councillor Gary McKeown has welcomed confirmation of the planned timeline for the delivery of the long-awaited new bridge.
He said: "I'm pleased that we now have a timeline for the delivery of the new pedestrian and cycle bridge over the River Lagan at the Gasworks. All being well, by the end of 2025 construction of the bridge will be complete and we'll have a fantastic new route across the river that will unlock vast parts of our city for pedestrians and cyclists.
"This is a lot later than had originally been envisaged, which has been frustrating for many of us, but I'm glad we have now a timeline for completion following the funding being put in place.
"For a long time people in Belfast and further afield have been looking forward to seeing the new bridge between the Gasworks and Ormeau Park being constructed, as it will create an important new connection across the river, enabling and encouraging people to leave the car at home and walk and cycle more.
"Residents of the Lower Ormeau will be able to enjoy the benefits of Ormeau Park much more easily, while people on the park side of the river will be able to access the city centre directly when the bridge is completed.
"I'm also working with party colleagues to secure improvements in Ormeau Park, all of which will complement this project and make the general area more attractive for communities across the city.
"As with any major infrastructure project, there is always a risk that the schedule could slip, so I would urge officials and contractors to do everything they can to keep it on-track and deliver it as soon as possible.
"It is essential that this project is not delayed any further. It is also important that the department and contractors engage with the community every step of the way."
