A casual knitted beach dress from River Island has went down well with fashion fans who have been hailing it as "an effortless beach outfit."

The high-street fashion retailer recently sent its dedicated fanbase swooning over its Beige Knit Striped Beach Midi Dress after it reshared a snap of a social media influencer wearing it on Instagram.
Priced at £60, the slouchy dress is available to buy via the River Island website in three different sizes - small, medium and large. It is also available to buy in a mini length for the same price.
Featuring a simple stripe print, the beach dress features a stylish open back, crew neckline and long sleeves. Pair it with some stylish sandals and you have a simple, but fashionable, beach outfit.
There is a bit of a catch with the dress, as you won't find it in your local store, as it is the Beige Knit Striped Midi Dress is only exclusively available to buy online.
River Island shared snaps of digital content creator @itsstephanieemma to its 2.4 million Instagram followers. Both the retailer's and the content creator's snaps were met with thunderous applause.
The retailer simply captioned its own summery snap: "That effortless beach look, mastered."
Fashion fans were quick to praise the beach dress, with one saying: "This is my kind of effortless beach outfit."
A second exclaimed: "Oh I need this."
A third impressed fan commented: "Gorgeous."
