The countdown to skimming through 2022's Black Friday sale rail is well and truly underway as many high street and online retailers start to prepare discounts, including River Island.
As one of the biggest events in the global shopping calendar, Black Friday will take place this year on Friday, November 25. But as thousands of shoppers look to get the best shopping deals before Christmas many retailers start discounts ahead of the official date.
Originally a US tradition, thousands of retailers across the UK now take part, from tech brands to homeware and fashion brands including River Island.

With deals introduced before and after the Friday date shoppers can make the most of month-long bargains on much loved winter staples for their wardrobe and accessories that make for great Christmas gifts.
When is River Island's 2022 Black Friday Sale?
River Island have started the countdown to this year's Black Friday sale with a live timer on their website, calling it 'the biggest and best shopping event of the year'. Just 65 days and eight hours to go, which would kickstart the sale on the morning of Friday, November 25.
Shoppers can get the latest sale news on River Islands app, as well as Early Bird' access to a range of seasonal discounts. Last year its Black Friday sale lasted until November 30, so we can expect a short four day sale again this year.
What can shoppers expect this Black Friday at River Island?
Shoppers can expect 20% off everything! This is what River Island put on the table during the global sale last year, which was applied on baskets over £75.
As all items were in the sale last year it meant shoppers could get some of its newest and 'top-of-the-range' items for a discounted price. Including on its 2021 party range, which was very fitting for the upcoming festive season.
Current 'must-have' deals at River Island
There's lots of seasonal 'must-have' items currently on offer at River Island, and sales on selected Women, Men, Kids and Baby ranges with up to 30% off. Perfect for layering is this Beige Knitted Tank Top in the sale for £22, originally reduced from £29.
Another popular trend last year that has made its way back into this years autumnal wardrobe are knee high boots, these Chunky Boots are £55. 20 in the sale, reduced from £69. You can shop the seasonal sale, here.

This Black Tie Waist Mini Shirt dress is a perfect outfit for this time of year, and it can be worn with heels and a jacket to dress up or knee high boots when it starts to get colder. For me Black Friday marks the start of my change to a full winter wardrobe, as it starts to get too cold to wear the transitional autumnal pieces.
