Police have confirmed an incident on the River Forth yesterday afternoon was a "false alarm" with "good intent".
It's believed a member of the public had spotted a person on the Clackmannanshire Bridge acting in a concerning way at around 2.30pm and alerted emergency services.
Mercy crews scrambled to the scene, including a UK Coastguard helicopter and rescue boast, which soured the water between Grangemouth and Kincardine.
The incident forced the Kincardine Bridge to be closed for hours.
They spent hours searching the area, before standing down at around 7pm last night.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergencies services attended the area of Clackmannashire Bridge after receiving a report of concern for a person around 2.30pm on Tuesday, 12 April, 2022.
"Enquiries were carried out and this was a false alarm with good intent.
"The Kincardine Bridge was re-opened by around 7pm."
